10th Anniversary toast and concert with «Lila Lisi»

Following our 10th anniversary toast and celebration, there will be a concert and musical performance by Lila Lisi. You are all most welcome to join!

Lila Lisi’s performances are characterized by her smoky voice, with which she expresses her life philosophies, her debates with feminism, and her bleeding heart desires.

Behind the turn tables, Lokke kicks off the night with some trashy city funk. Then, «Sticky Biscuits» from Berlin play their inappropriate songs about who you’re in love with, who might be stalking you, with lyrics that also include ninjas, zombies and atom physicists. In this special Luststreifen performance, Sticky Biscuits will be accompanied by two of their dancers, and they will also be presenting their new sex health info-and-dance video «EVEN THE CUTEST KITTENS».

This will be followed by Lokke & Laurent’s queer Beats, crazy Soul und curvaceous Disco.

Light artist Uli Stern from Munich will co-produce light art with partygoers, and will project these works onto a screen throughout the night.

A team from Imagine Festival will welcome you and ensure a safe space for everyone.

Workshop «In/Out of Cadrage» with Katja Lell and Riikka Tauriainen

How are sexualized looks, sexual bodies, unambiguous sexualities produced in the medium film? When is which section set and with which sound underlined? In this workshop, we will examine how sexually distinct bodies and looks are produced through the use of audiovisual codes in the film.

In a cinematic-performative labsetting (tables, cameras, microphones, texts, objects, costumes, etc.), we want to performatively explore and transform the boundaries of what is visible in the image section with our voices and bodies. At the animation table we develop abstract, concrete, visible and invisible bodies that sound, quietly scream and whisper. In the end there is a common movie, a performance or something in between.

Information about the workshop leaders

The workshop is led by Katja Lell, artist and film maker in both Hamburg and Zurich, and in collaboration with the artist Riikka Tauriainen in Zurich. In their works, both express themselves on queer-feminist, social-critical and anti-capitalist questions.

DIY with Helen Gilroy from The Craft Room – Make your own merchandise

Helen Gilroy, co-owner of The Craft Room, will show you how to make your own, personalized merchandising. You can create your own jewelry with stamping or some beautiful cards with funky, glittery foil!

11:00 – 13:00 hrs: Brunch buffet in Turbinenhaus. Buffet closes after 13:00hrs, but food can still be ordered on location.

Brunch is followed by a discussion with Klaus Händl, director of the film Kater. The film will be shown in neuen kino this same day, at 15:45hrs.

Brigida Brunetti is a Basler artist and illustrator. Her art creations include installations, sculptures, paintings, sketches and photography. She already convinced us once before with her 2013 exhibition «Fuck you! Who do you want me to be?!», which took place during that year’s edition of our festival.

This year, we are presenting to you her newest creation, «Fünfunddreissig» (thirty-five), in the foyer of neuen kino, where her art work can also be purchased.

In her book, which bears semblance to the style of a graphic novel, Brigida Brunetti tells her own story: the story of a woman that doubts, fears and loves, breaks down and gets back up. It describes her 35th year in all its facets. With this latest publication, alongside her first book, the circle of her being closes. Here we see Brigida Brunetti, the former publicist, return to her first love: books.
